The Paritaria bilingual Italian/English Primary School “Don Carlo Lazzari” also has an intensive music curriculum. It is located on the first floor of the “Villino Trifoglio”. The first grade class was established in the school year 2016/2017, with the aim to deepen and expand the educational model introduced in the Early Childhood School. Following the principles and values of Catholic education, the school proposes itself as a meeting place for knowledge and integration of expressive languages and the development of pro-sociality in the paths of education to responsibility. The school schedule is divided into 40 hours per week with the strengthening of the English language and music education program. To achieve the educational goals of the curriculum the staff is composed of Italian language teachers, mother tongue English teachers and teachers of music education and instruments, art and storytelling, mime, and physical education. Beginning with the linguistic-cultural experience of bilingualism and music training, the children experiment with the knowledge they are learning in the study of their different subjects through workshops, gyms of “thought-action” and through the communication of emotions and creativity. They are “learning to learn” through unitary paths that integrate curriculum, project objectives and programs.
